A lobby officer who knows the tenants and checks in visitors solves much of that by being there. We write post orders with the property manager that cover tenant access, deliveries, after-hours rules and when to call local authorities, and the officer keeps a written log for every shift.
Homes and events in the hills
The hillside streets south of the boulevard are quiet, and that is part of the appeal. It also means a house under renovation or empty during a trip can go unnoticed. A posted unarmed officer checks gates, doors and the perimeter on a schedule and keeps an eye on who comes up the street. For a party or gathering, officers handle the driveway, guest arrival and street parking, which matters on narrow hillside roads.
What an unarmed officer can and cannot do
An LDG unarmed officer is a private security officer, not law enforcement. The officer observes, deters, controls access under your rules, helps people on the property and documents what happens. When a situation needs a law enforcement response, the officer calls for it and keeps watch until help arrives.
