Fire watch by project phase
- Framing and rough-in. Rounds of an open structure with lumber and materials on site, before any system is installed.
- Hot work days. A guard during welding, cutting or torch-down roofing, and for the cool-down period after it ends.
- Systems installed but not yet in service. Coverage until the alarm and sprinklers are tested and accepted.
- Occupied homes with a system down. Rounds of a finished or surviving home while its system is repaired.
Working with builders and neighbors
Post orders are written with the owner and the builder: the route, when the site opens and closes, where materials are stored and who gets a call. On streets where several homes are rebuilding at once, guards stay courteous with neighbors and other crews, and keep the street side of the lot clear for emergency access.
One guard, two jobs
Many Palisades owners already have construction site security in Pacific Palisades for theft and trespassing at night. A fire watch can be added to the same post orders, so the guard on the lot covers both and logs both. When the home is finished, coverage can shift to security guards in Pacific Palisades.
Getting a fire watch scheduled
Fire watch coverage in Pacific Palisades can be a single shift for hot work, nights only while a building is empty, or every hour the system is out until it is repaired. Shift length is set to your needs. Pricing depends on the hours, the number of guards and how long the fire watch runs; longer agreements get lower rates, and requests made with less than 7 days’ notice carry an upcharge. Published guard ranges are on our rates page. Request a consultation, or call or text (442) 288-6642.
California requires every security guard to hold a guard card from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and LDG works under PPO License #122869. For the service across the county, see fire watch in Los Angeles County; for every service in the area, see our Malibu & Pacific Palisades page.
