Where Santa Monica clients book off-duty officers
- Hotel and corporate events. Entrances, lobbies and arrivals at beachfront hotels and office campuses.
- Film, TV and commercial productions. Base camp, equipment and set perimeters on location shoots.
- Retail and restaurants. Storefronts on the Promenade, Main Street and Montana Avenue during peak weekends and holidays.
- Concerts, launches and private parties. Door and line coverage where crowds build quickly.
Planning around the crowd
Santa Monica events rarely stay inside their walls. Lines form on the sidewalk, rideshares double-park on Ocean Avenue and passersby wander toward the music. We plan officer posts for the edges of the event as well as the door: the line, the drop-off point and the exit people use at the end of the night, so the crowd outside stays calm and moving.
How booking works
Send the date, hours, location, expected crowd and what you need covered. LDG matches vetted off-duty officers to the post, writes the post orders, briefs everyone before the shift and stays your single point of contact. Afterward you get one invoice for every officer and every hour, and LDG handles officer payroll.
Many Santa Monica events combine off-duty officers with LDG security guards for guest lists and back doors, or with armed officers where the risk is higher. For production base camps and equipment lots overnight, our mobile surveillance vehicle can take over when the crew leaves. More on the off-duty officers page and the Santa Monica page.
